Managing Director
Emmanuel Meyer
Emmanuel brings over 15 years of experience in infrastructure investment and project management.
While at Evergreen, Emmanuel assisted VivoPower Plc, Magnetar Solar and Conergy AG on M&A transactions and debt capital solutions, with a focus on energy and infrastructure investments in Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.
Prior to Evergreen, Emmanuel served as Managing Director of Element Power Italy, where he oversaw the buildup of the American-backed renewable energy development company.
Emmanuel holds an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University, Milan where he also lectured on Corporate Finance for five years prior to moving to London.
He speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish.

Senior Financial Analyst
Matt Garrity
Matt is a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) and Financial Modelling specialist.
He began his professional career at Grant Thornton, London in the Government & Investor Advisory team focusing on model audit and review, before moving on to global engineering consultancy firm Over Arup & Partners. There he led the financial modelling within the Business & Investor Advisory team and worked for on a range of Project Finance Transactions, business cases and feasibility studies across energy, transport and water sectors.
He has also worked as a Financial Modelling instructor to leading industry consultancy firm F1F9 and has taught Excel Financial Modelling best practice to hundreds of professionals in London, Istanbul, Bogota, Melbourne and Myanmar.
More recently he has been advising, Ofgem – the UK’s energy regulator, on the UK’s transition to a net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050.

Structured Finance Director
Peter Sermol
Peter has over 30 years’ trading experience in debt capital markets. Working in London Peter relocated to Toronto 2004 to run the Canadian office of Amstel Securities N.V. a Dutch regulated brokerage firm. Focusing on distressed debt Peter expanded the business to finance Canadian property developers from overseas investors and seeded and/or arranged uncorrelated investment themes; Australian non-conforming loans, Mexican non-performing loans, U.S. subprime automobile loans.
Returning to the UK from Canada late 2012 Peter co-founded North Star Solar Ltd in 2014, a company focused on U.K. rooftop solar combined with energy storage and is a Non-Executive Director of VivoPower Plc.
Peter qualified as a Radio Officer in the Merchant Navy at Greenhithe Merchant Naval College, England.

Adio Stefoni
Adio brings over 8 years of experience in renewable energy development, financing, construction, operations, management and consulting on behalf of developers and investors across Latin America.
Previous to PowerTree, at Evergreen he was responsible for the origination of transactions in Chile for the development of photovoltaic solar energy construction projects and for the acquisition of photovoltaic solar energy assets ready to build. Also performed preliminary analysis and description of investment opportunities, concluding in the negotiation and acquisition of the originated projects. Moreover, he was responsible for the corporate audit to evaluate the controls, procedures and systems established to guarantee the reliability and integrity of the project development information, protecting future assets in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures with a profitable and efficient use of resources.
Prior to his last position, Adio served as Business Development Manager South America at Vector Cuatro, a leading global energy advisor, where he performed due diligence on over 5 GW on behalf of LTI, construction supervision and asset management of a portfolio of projects. Furthermore, he designed and implemented a commercial strategy, understanding each South American market local industry and trends; identifying new business opportunities for asset management, transaction and engineering in Solar PV and Wind Energy. Furthermore, Adio did roadshow trips to strengthen the presence of Vector Cuatro and built a long-term relationship with renewable energy players.
Adio worked at Samsung Engineering in charge of complying with all grid operator’s requests, following of the authority’s requirements and negotiation of the technical definition with Owner (Kosco) and Off-Taker (BHP). In addition, he coordinated and liaised between HQ Office (Seoul, Korea); Site Office (Mejillones, Chile) and Vendor HQ (Santiago, Chile) for the EPC subcontract for construction, installation and commission of the HV Switchyard and Transmission Line; as well as E-House (PDC) package.
At Mainstream Renewable Power he oversaw over 1 GW of solar energy projects throughout Chile, developed and improved analytical tools and data quality control in solar projects. Also, collaboration and participation in the technical evaluation of new projects in countries such as USA, Canada, Kenya, Botswana and South Africa.
He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Universidad de Chile, where he lectured for 4 years as a fellow instructor. In addition, he has a Diploma in Marketing and Sales and a Diploma in Leadership and Management of High-Performance Teams, both from Universidad Adolfo Ibañez.
He speaks English, Italian and Spanish.
Flavio Schuler
Flavio has over 10 years of experience with renewable energy investment and project management as he focused his whole career on it.
Prior to joining Power Tree, Flavio worked in the renewable energy industry for 6 years at Martifer Renewables, where he built over 100 MW Wind Power, more than 300 km of Transmission Lines and developed over 400 MW of Solar Projects in Brazil and Argentina.
Before Martifer, he worked at Rio Energy, where he spent 4 years as Development and Project Manager, where he developed 300 MW of Wind Power and managed 270 MW of Wind Power projects and 200 km of Transmission Lines.
Beyond the regular curriculum, he acquired national and international experience living and working in Brazil and Argentina, most of the time with renewable energy (wind and solar), from project development to site construction.
Flavio has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UFCG University in Brazil.
He speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Technical Director
Joep Thomassen
Joep has over 20 years of experience with an extensive track record in managing team growth and internationalization.
Formerly with Leclanché where he led the Distributed Power Generation business and transformed the market approach of the Swiss manufacturer.
Before joining Leclanché in 2014, Joep worked at Nedap, NXP and Philips gaining valuable exposure to the semiconductors and energy systems markets across Europe, Asia and North America.
Joep holds BSc in Computer Sciences from the College of Advanced Technology (HTS) in the Netherlands and executive training at INSEAD.
He speaks Dutch, English, German and French.

Chile Construction & Asset manager
Camilo Inostroza
Camilo has over 4 years of experience in the renewable energy market in Chile working with different companies with solar PV power plants operation.
He started working at SunEdison, operating commercially over 350 MW related to 5 power plants with PPA’s or spot market. After SunEdison, Camilo worked with SunPower implementing the Asset Management of El Pelicano 100 MW power plant with a PPA with Metro (the largest public transport system company).
He has a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Universidad de Chile.
He speaks English and Spanish.

Operations & Compliance Director
Rafael Meyer
Rafael has over 10 years of experience in logistics and operations, project management and IT support.
Prior to joining Evergreen, Rafael worked in the steel industry at Tenaris, global leader in steel pipes technology for the oil and gas industry, where he managed over 500 logistics operations successfully through more than 20 different customs agencies, which included over 100 letters of credit to complex EMEA and Asian countries.
Before Tenaris, Rafael worked at TATA Consultancy Services, where he spent 6 years managing IT support services teams for leading global food and retail listed companies.
Rafael has a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from ORT University in Uruguay.
He speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish.

Financial Controller
Ismael Gil
Ismael Gil has over 20 years’ experience in high profile projects of infrastructure between Europe and Canada, with a strong background in internationalization. With particular involvement in budgeting, and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Power Tree, Ismael worked for 15 years for FCC Construccion SA, performing different finance roles in Spain and its subsidiaries in Ireland, and Canada. His last role for this firm was Country Finance Manager in Canada. Ismael then returned to Europe, where he joined Costain Group in the UK for last five years.
Ismael holds an MSc in Finance from UPF Barcelona and an MBA from University Kingston of London.
He is fluent in Spanish and English.
